What do you think of my children%26#039;s names?





I have my adopted baby boy John Riley, John after his daddy :D


I have newborn baby girl Teagan Lily, Lily after my mother-in-law.


I have my two year old girl Tessa Rose, Rose after my mom.





Which individual (one single) name/name combination (first %26amp; middle) is your favorite?





My husband and I love our children %26amp; their names very much. Please try not to be rude when answering!

I like John Riley as a first AND middle name, but John is a little common and not really my style. It%26#039;s a nice name though.





Teagan Lily is a beautiful name. Teagan is one of my favorite girl%26#039;s names and Lily is so cute, too.





Tessa Rose is a wonderful name, too. I like Tessa a lot and it%26#039;s not too common... and I think Rose is beautiful!





I love how both your girls have flowers as middle names....Did you and your husband do that on purpose?





All-in-all, very nice names.
Reply:Yes, we did give them flower themed middle names on purpose but Lily is my mother-in-law%26#039;s name and Rose was my mom%26#039;s maiden name. Report It

Teagan Lily...Teagan sounds more boyish to me (Sorry, not trying to be mean)





Tessa Rose...I like..makes her sound like she has real determination

I like certain things about each name, so it%26#039;s hard to pick just one.





John Riley is a strong, masculine name that flows together very nicely.





I like the fact that each daughter%26#039;s middle name is not only the namesake of a loved one, but it%26#039;s also a flower.





I like Tessa and the adorable nickname Tess for a little girl.





Ok, I%26#039;m going to pick Teagan simply because she%26#039;s newest addition, and she%26#039;s not had her name nearly as long as the others. :-)

Teagen Lily reminds me of the indian from Peter Pan, Tiger Lily, but it%26#039;s still nice, even though I think Teagen is bold, and Lily is graceful so they don%26#039;t go together great in my oppinion

John Riley is a great combo. I%26#039;m not real crazy about Teagan but it goes very nicely with Lily as a middle name.

Reply:Like everyone else, I love the name Tessa Rose, I met one of my BFF%26#039;s at church campp whos name is Tessa.


Teagan is cute, not my complete fave but it reminds me of one of my favorite names, Regan. I absolutly love the name Lily. John Riley is cute but I would come up with a nick name (like johnny) when he was little, and I love the name Riley for a boy.


I also love how you named your kids after family, that shows strong charicter.

Reply:No offense intended - but if you are truly happy with the names you have chosen, why are you asking the opinion of strangers? I%26#039;m sorry if that sounds rude, but I%26#039;m honestly curious.


The only time I ever asked an opinion on baby names was when we were choosing pre-baby. Once my kids were named, I never asked opinions - I love my kids%26#039; names and, again no offense, but I couldn%26#039;t care less what anyone thinks. The names we chose had important meanings to our families, and that%26#039;s all that mattered to us.


In all honesty - asking someone%26#039;s opinion means you are opening yourself to comments that will upset you.


Not that my opinion should matter ... the names you%26#039;ve chosen are definitely unique, ones that are not so over-used that they are %26quot;dull%26quot;, yet ones that aren%26#039;t so unusual people will look at your kids (or you) funny. I personally don%26#039;t care for any of them, so I can%26#039;t choose a favorite - but that%26#039;s just my opinion.

I%26#039;m not trying to be rude but seriously names are to be chosen for your children and should not be put of for criticizing by others ... when you ask a question what do you think and then ask people not be rude ... its like your forcing people to answer in a positive way.


Your names are nice ... not something I%26#039;d choose for my children .. .but for you and your family my OPINION should not matter.
