STRANGEST POT PLANT!! I've been growing these for 3 years (yes, legally) and NEVER seen ANYTHING like this!!

I have been growing Marijuana legally under CA Prop 215 for a number of years now, and I recently created my own strain thru seeds I accidentally made... In any case, I have never seen anything like this before in my life... Think of an unopened Lily or Iris, how they are long and folded in three parts, and inside is pollen and whatnot, this looks just like that except that it is 1/100th the size of a lily, and its growing on a cannabis plant, a decidedly FEMALE plant, very very weird.

The pictures show a plant that has both sexes on the one individual -- you can see the styles of the female flowers and the anthers of the male flowers. This isn%26#039;t all that common (Cannabis plants are mostly dioecious -- sexes on separate plants) but does occur. In these plants, the male flowers do not look typical.


Plants generally *try* to set seeds so seed set can only have been an accident if you thought you were eliminating male plants but missed one (or there was a male in the neighborhood -- they are wind-pollinated); or perhaps you had another monoecious plant (both sexes on the eone individual) and didn%26#039;t notice the first time?
Reply:They are not very good pictures,but they sure look like male flowers to me.Yes,I%26#039;m pretty sure they are male plants,and unless you want seeds on your female plants you should destroy them,because males won%26#039;t have any buds on them anyway.The sole purpose of males is to polinate the female plant.It%26#039;s possible it could be a hermorphadite (having both male and female flowers).Well at least you%26#039;ll have lots of seeds.

Reply:its a male get rid of it andits genetically altered ? it will turn you other plants unproductive. or at least seperate it totally from all good girl plants( the ones that bud)
Reply:smoke it. see if its any good. if it is, id definitely patent that strain and sell it to one of the marijuana research centers in holland.
