We have blanketweed suddenly after nine years in our largish pond. We have a fantastic old lily that ill be killed by this horrible stuff, if we do nothing.
Lots of pages on the internet say use Blanc-Kit Excel which should kill the blanketweed but leave the lily alone. Has anyone used this stuff, did it actually work? Also has anyone also used Phos-Kit which is supposed to keep it at bay afterwards?
No pathetic pointseeking answers please.......

i allso have a pond , and used to use all these chemicals like blanc kit etc , after a month or so it comes back ... well... i found this stuff its called viresco aqua , and its realy good . its not a chemical its organic , just one treatment is all you need for the whole year ,and you will never have algi or blankit weed in your pond again honest ! i have used this stuff for about 4 years now try it . you can get it from most big pond and fish centres its a bit expensive at 20 pounds a tub but one 10 gram tub will do 6,000 gallons so you can make it last for years if you have a small pond , just give it a go it works ! .oh ... and its also sold on ebay
