Secret Life of Bees?

I read %26quot;The Secret Life of Bees%26quot; by Sue Monk Kidd almost 3 years ago and I really liked it. My friend told me she heard there was a sequel but she doesn%26#039;t know the name. I looked it up online and all I found were sites that said %26quot;The Mermaid Chair%26quot; was the sequel but when I looked up the synopsis for the book it talked about a character named Jesse and the main character in %26quot;the Secret Life of Bees%26quot; was Lily. I don%26#039;t remember a Jesse. However I did read the book 3 years ago and maybe I%26#039;m forgetting someone. Does anyone know if this is really the sequel?

Secret Life of Bees?
Its not a sequel. its just another book made by sue monk kidd. and i think, if i remember, the mermaid chair is about a 40 year old woman who is tired of her husband and falls in love with a monk, so i dont think thats the sequel

As far as I know, there is NO sequeal.

But I dismissed thoughts of a sequel. It seemed too risky to go back and tamper with the world I%26#039;d created. Right now I%26#039;m working on another novel, set in South Carolina in 1988. Other than that, great choice of books. I personally enjoyed %26quot;The Secret Life of Bees%26quot; myself!
Reply:i dont think that that is the sequel. it might be by sue monk kidd...but it might be seperate. i think you should read it anyway though.
Reply:As far as I know, The Mermaid Chair is the sequel. I know The Mermaid Chair came out after Secret Life of Bees and those are the only two fiction books by Kidd I can find. She has three other books which are non-fiction.
