Veterinarians! I need your help more than ever!?

My cat lily is overweight (12 lbs) and is about 3 years old. She constantly eats even when we try to stop her. For about 2 days she hasnt been eating and i sleeping under things. Such as dressers, couches, dark places where she can be left alone. Today, as my mother was picking out her fav. peices of cat food from her friskies chefs medley (spoiled) she went berserk. Im talking a high pitched meow and then goes running so fast. Ive never seen her move so fast before. It was not a normal run, either. Sort of a crazy run. She was sorta going crooked and kicked her kind feet up a few times. Can anybody help me!?

Does she have a worm or soemthing? I love her so much and i dont want to lose her.

Funny... I didn%26#039;t know vets could see cats through their monitors. Plus I wasn%26#039;t aware vets hang out on Yahoo Answers. Or that if they did they%26#039;d want to give you anything close to a diagnosis without seeing a cat.

GET THIS CAT TO A VET. There is NO alternative. If you truly %26quot;love her so much%26quot; you%26#039;ll turn off the computer... and go... to... the... vet.

As for %26quot;She constantly eats even when we try to stop her%26quot; Bullshit. She%26#039;s a cat. She doesn%26#039;t have opposable thumbs. She can%26#039;t open a can of cat food. She can%26#039;t pour out her own food. Feed her twice a day - as a cat should be fed. Don%26#039;t leave food out all the time. She%26#039;s eating out of boredom.

As for you saying she%26#039;s %26quot;spoiled%26quot; on %26quot;Friskies Medley%26quot; - that cat food is crap. You%26#039;re not spoiling your cat. You%26#039;re giving her cheap cat food with poor nutrition - which is probably why she eats so much of it. Feed your cat a QUALITY cat food high in protein and not one that you buy cheap at the grocery store.
Reply:First of all does your cat go outdoors or strictly an indoor cat? My cat is both so he got bit on the ear by something and got an abcess and he hid and wouldnt eat until the abcess burst and we had him on antibiotics and he screamed like that to. and ran around crazy shaking his head. So check your cat all over for any possible injuries if he has been outside and make sure hes had the feline lukemia shots and rabies shot
Reply:i am not a vet...but i have four cats....one is extremely long haired....father was Mane Coon....anyways..he acts like this occassionally...i find with him, it is because he has part of his bowel movement stuck on his hairy behind...and i have to catch him and put him inthe tub and wash his bummy.

if you can catch her to see if this is the problem...that would be beneficial.

other than that - you need to take her in and get her looked at.

just a note.-- when i bathe %26#039;sparkey%26#039; i wear gloves, and have plenty of towels available next to me to wipe him off...i also keep the bathroom door shut in case he jumps out of tub.

good luck.
Reply:you just need to take her to the vet. It could be something as simple as matted fur pulling or fleas.
