Regarding my squirrl problem Opal?

Yes I mean squirels . I saw them last year taking a bite out of tomatoes and peppers and eating my lilies.

Regarding my squirrl problem Opal?
My property backs up on a wooded area that contains dozens of squirrels. They destroyed my bird feeders, ate my pears, peppers, and tomatoes, and dug up my plants.

I purchased a squirrel feeder and put it on a pole at the far corner of my yard. Since then (a year ago), not one squirrel has ventured past the feeder. They eat from their feeder, then leave. I keep the feeder full of black-oil sunflower seeds.

This will not attract more squirrels. As another poster indicated, squirrels are territorial and won%26#039;t let other families into their territory.

You cannot stop squirrels by shooting at them, buying a cat or dog, installing a noise detector, or yelling at them. If you trap them or kill them, another squirrel family just moves in.
Reply:Usually there are only two squirrels and babies terrorizing your garden at one time. It seems like a whole gaggle at times. They are very territorial and do not socialize with other families. The best method to get rid of them is to purchase a live trap at your local feed store. Set the trap with bread, spread with peanut butter. After each catch, check with the wild life dept. in your county and they can direct you as to what wild life centers will accept squirrels. Usually that takes care of the problem until next spring. Good Luck
Reply:get a cat or fence it in with a screen up top. like a screened in porch but would be your screened in garden, still cheaper to get a cat.

Reply:move to some where that doesnt have squirls! Like aus, then you just have to deal with possums!
