Should all music be banned?

i only ask this because it seems to be going in circles and we have had no new sound for years it just seems to be repeating its self the only person i know at the moment who has taken different styles and made them her own is lily allen but even still it%26#039;s old stuff have we come to far too soon

Should all music be banned?
all except ELVIS
Reply:AMEN :-D Report It

Reply:I feel you are referring to the musical genre commonly referred to as %26#039;pop%26#039;. This genre has become totally boring and needs to be rejected by its listeners.

Try jazz, or classical music. Both re-invent themselves constantly, either through the interpretations of musicians - players, composers, conductors, or through the constant renewal of human thought and inventiveness.

All you get in %26#039;pop%26#039; is what big business wants to sell you.
Reply:it%26#039;s not music that should be banned, but major record companies. There%26#039;s loads of music out there but they don%26#039;t want to develope any of it. You either fit in or you don%26#039;t get a record deal.
Reply:I think you need to expand your horizons more. There%26#039;s a lot of new stuff around, new ideas new styles, differnet interpretations to old genres and generally the weird and wonderful.

Yes if you listen to crappy commercial radio (who have to please their sponsors) and don%26#039;t go and explore new music then it%26#039;s the same alright.

Try venturing out of the chart and out of the best sellers to find something wonderful.

Without music life would be pretty dull, I personally wouldn%26#039;t have anything to relate to in troubled times and happy times. I wouldn%26#039;t have had music to inspire me, I wouldn%26#039;t have had music interpret as my own and reinvent.
Reply:no just rap cr*p
Reply:thats ridiculous to ban all music, its been around for centuries! But it is true that there are a hell of a lot of covers in the charts these days, very little originality. I think its basically down to a lack of talent in the music industry these days. The music that should definately be banned however is this %26#039;Gangsta Rap%26#039;, that stuff is totally evil, and to blame for a fair chunk of what is wrong with teens these days, I honestly believe it sends out subliminal messages, that plant themselves in some peoples subconscience, not nice!
Reply:Try listening to some old music then. Blues, Jazz, even classical.
Reply:no
Reply:should you be punched for asking that?
Reply:Only after we%26#039;ve finished burning every book.
Reply:No I do not think music should be banned because it makes me happy. I LOVE listening to loads of kinds of music so I say THANKYOU FOR THE MUSIC, FOR GIVING IT TO ME.................!!!!!!!
Reply:You%26#039;ve got to be kidding me. If someone were to ban music, I%26#039;d probably go kill myself. Probably the majority of the world would. Good God. Maybe we should ban you. T_T
Reply:noway the music we have at the moment is cool and so what if we just keep repeating ourselves theirs always a new audience for it
Reply:I%26#039;m with the Ayatollah on this Yes Yes Yes, Decadent, perverted, topless, bottomless. And those skeletons, the Beetles. Jeez, take them out!
Reply:NO!

If music- no matter the genre is banned, I would DIE!

If I die, due to the fact someone banned music, that would be homicide!

They can all go to jail and get a BIG lawsuit from my fam.

Well, hmmm....

Maybe country, that techno shyt, and blues should be banned.

Definitley not Hardcore, Love Metal, Heavy Metal, Black Metal, and Death Metal. And whatever you classify Panic! At the Disco as.

BUT DEFINITELY... BAN FALL OUT BOY!
Reply:No.

2pts.
Reply:If you replace the word music with (c)rap and rnb. Music has so many effects on us, you can%26#039;t take that away! Everything would be silence then (sort of) Right now i%26#039;m listening to Nirvana, you can%26#039;t ban Nirvana!!!!!!!! And if you think music is going in circles, why don%26#039;t you make your own?
Reply:No, but perhaps there should be a limit put on mainstream music?

Reply:no music is life, havent you noticed that the human mind seems to revolve around music? it gives us a beat to live by no matter our prefereces. what would we do without music is what you should be asking
Reply:no m8, but you have hit on a sore point with me. When someone does a cover version of an old song, we should all go out and order the origional, it will soon stop new artists from doing this.
Reply:No music should be banned because thats away people express themselves and at the same time it could help someone get threw their problems.
Reply:music should never be banned. granted, we need to wade through 99% crap to get to something we like but someone actually likes the 99% that we don%26#039;t. you can ban it on a personal level by not listening to it.
Reply:Tell you what, why don%26#039;t we just poke your eardrums out so that you don%26#039;t have to listen to it anymore?
Reply:Ban music and I can kiss goodbye to my sanity
Reply:Of Course It Should%26#039;t Be Banned But I Know What You Are Saying And There Is A Lot Of Rubbish Rap Around At THe Moment But Hey There Is Some Good Stuff Out There As Well
Reply:I know where your coming from but there are some new sounds out there and it%26#039;s good to bring some of the old stuff out to show the young to appreciate music that was around before them and a good chance to improve songs ;-)
Reply:Just Westlife.
Reply:Music industry....getting richer and richer....
Reply:no way, do you know the music makes the largest collection of money, and the music is only medium which provides you the internal peace
Reply:there is loads of new genres around mostly in rock

but i think rap and rnb should be banned
