I recently got 2 female rabbits, around the same age (Different breeds though. Lets call one Lily and the other Berry) Ok, they were outside today and Lily started humping Berry%26#039;s face!! I dont understand-Shes 1 year old, is she just wanting a male rabbit or is she like, some kind of lesbian rabbit?!???
Wtf?!??!?!?
Horny Rabbit!!!?
The one that mounted the other is saying %26quot;I%26#039;m in charge got it!%26quot; and since the other let her she was saying %26quot;Yes m%26#039;am!%26quot; It is not a mating thing at all. You need to have the rabbits spayed. It will keep them from fighting as much and will reduce the risk of cancer.
Reply:adding to the answer above,
* yes they do have a chance of getting uterine cancer if not spayed. I lost 3 females to it already. It usually hits them at around 5 yrs old + up.
* another point to mention in reference to them fighting, yes I am 100% agreeing with that fact, except, IF your rabbitshave already bonded + let to run together daily + get along then having them to continue to do this is okay.
its a show of who%26#039;s boss, who the more agressive rabbit is. I have a mother + dau who do this to each other, so far I haven%26#039;t figured out who is the bossiest lol. Females will do this to other females or males;
Males when approaching puberty + can still be kept with females, will also do this to any female or male. Thats when you know for sure that the males need to be separated from the females. I had one rabbit do this to her mates head, its actually kind of funny. Its like, %26quot;oops I missed%26quot; lmbo
