My friend won%26#039;t stop staliking/copying me!
Its driving me insane! She goes through every phase I do. And after I%26#039;m over that phase shes over it. She does the same with her other friend we both have tolde her she needs to stop copying us and be herself. Instead of posing to be something shes not shes even labeled herself as emo/goth! I have no idea what to do about her. Shes to much to handle. Its pathetic that I%26#039;m afraid to tell her my likes or she will copy everything. I%26#039;m a girl that likes having my individuallity and she says %26quot;I%26#039;m different I%26#039;m unique%26quot; Shes not any of that if shes just copying others. She now dresses in black and listens to panic at the disco. I know the real her was at the beggining of the year when she wore pink and listened to Lily allen What in the world can I do?? I%26#039;ve tried everything. She copies everyone with individuallity and those are the people that hate being copied!
My friends going emo?
In my personal experience the most unique and interesting people I know are not concerned about their uniqueness. To be entirely honest with you the least unique group of people I%26#039;ve seen crop up lately are the folks who want to lable themselves %26#039;emo%26#039;. I%26#039;m not going to throw the first stone here but I%26#039;m assuming that at some point you had contact with someone or something that led you to adopt your current style? Live and let live chica. She%26#039;s not hurting you. She%26#039;ll figure herself out eventually.
Reply:bless them
Reply:i know what you mean. i have a friend that does the same. so i wear skinny pants and even before this kid was my friend i wore skinny pants cause i like um and my friend wore really pretty baggy pants, but i met this kid and we became like good friends but all of the sudden he starts dressing like me wear tighter and tighter pants and i can even remember a time when he made fun of me for um and now here he is copyin me and its happened more than just that. idk its just one of those weird things and you dont want to say anything so idk.
Reply:1.figure out if there%26#039;s anything that has had a BIG negative impact on her.
2. tell her that she is NOT being unique. I used to be like her, and copied others, but i realized (after watching lots of anime) that being yourself is unique. She needs to find her inner self.
3. even though i see nothing wrong with wearing black and listening to panic(though i listen to j-pop, wear pink, and watches prince of tennis even though i never have played tennis) if she was once the complete opposite...
wait.
get her to watch some prince of tennis. because it%26#039;s about a boy who wants to defeat his father in tennis but has always been copying him. he learns that if he just becomes the mirror image of his father, he can never rise above him. he does use other people%26#039;s tennis styles but only a tiny bit.
basically, your friend needs to learn that to be unique, you can%26#039;t copy unique people COMPLETELY, or you can never be a unique person.
i doubt i was any help but i%26#039;m a 7th grader with my own problems too...
