Homework Question: Whoever read House of Mirth, Pride & Prejudice, Invisible Man, Ragtime, Waiting For Godot?

People Who Read House of Mirth, Invisible Man, Pride %26amp; Prejudice, Hamlet, and Ragtime I have a school question

Ok so the year is almost over and my English H. teacher gave the class a project that we had to combine and make a play using characters from all the books we read.

My group and I had the idea to do like a spinoff of VH1%26#039;s Tila Tequila where Lily Bart (House of Mirth) is like Tila and IM, Mr. Darcy, Hamlet, and Coalhouse Walker vy for her love. While Ophelia, Elizabeth Bennet, and Selden come into the play later. Vladimir and Estragon from Waiting For Godot were supposed to be contestants but they are 2 busy waiting for godot to come so they are only referred 2.

This is what I thought up so far:

IM, Mr. Darcy, Hamlet, and Coalhouse temporarily escape their problems in society to vy for the love of Lily. Who is looking for a quick marriage so that she can rise in social stature. But, she is a contradiction in herself because she also wants love.

Lily makes the competitors go through competitions so she could test their characters as she also tries to understand their financial

lives .

The men fight w/ one another like in A Shot of Love and tell each other as well as Lily what deeds they have to complete in their lives and who they were in love with.

Lily acts like Tila (all sexy and such to keep their attention on her. They bein to love and lust over her.

But, Lily starts to think about Selden and the men start to think about their loved ones.

Lily invites Selden and all the exes so that they can better understand their pasts

However the men learn what happened to their loves and leave the house upon elimination night so that they can accomplish what they set forth 2 do.

Lily becomes depressed her social stature is nothing and gets depressed and kills herself.

.Can anyone add more things like try to incorporate Edna Pontellier and The Awakening in it or give me a soundtrack of songs that would fit this especially Lilys suicide or do any of you have funny things that can happen in the house and in the competitions. Thanks
