My baby's dad wants me to give him up?

I was 8 months pregnant and 19 years old when I told him. He knew that I was pregnant but didn't know it was his. I've already thought abotu it and I wanted to keep the baby and I told him that I told him that he didn't have to be involved but at least he would know. The reason why he wants me to give the baby up is because he still wants to be with me just not with a baby involved.


P.S I gave birth to a baby girl named Monica Lily DaCosta. She has her dad's last name.

It doesn't work that way. My bf said something like that when he found out I was pregnant, he wanted me to get an abortion and then stay together. Not gonna happen. I told him the baby is now a permanent part of my life, so he has two equal choices, leave or stay and be a father. He's still with me today and he loves his son. But, if he left I would have accepted it and known it was for the best. Any man who wants you throw away your child (and his) so you can be together--is not a man. Take a look at my avatar and tell me that you would trade a wonderful life with a sweet baby like mine (and yours) for a selfish excuse for a man.

You know, even if you love this guy and want to be with him, look at what he is saying- he obviously doesn't care about the child you made together and doesn't want to take responsibility. I think props to you for keeping the baby and if he doesn't want you make him pay for his child because especially at your age you will need help.
