1. That the locket is mentioned in the 5th book? Did you realize this b4 you read the 7th book? I did.....I realized and and FREAKED out. lol.
2. That in the 7th book when Harry is in Snape's memory....When Snape is telling Lily about the Dementors.... Petunia told Harry in the 5th book it was like "I heard him telling her years ago". In the 5th book you think she is talking about Harry's dad but it ended up that she was talking about Snape.
Did you notice in Harry Potter.?
Yeah I caught both 1 and 2. I love how Rowling drops little hints throughout. I love the sense of discovery when I catch them! That is one of the reasons why her books are so much fun to read. She puts so much thought and detail into every nuance of the tale. I thought she really outdid herself this time. And for her level of excellence, that is really saying something!
Happy reading and rereading everyone!!!
Reply:I noticed the first but not the second, good call!
I did notice the same memory from the 5th book, from the chapter called Snape's worst memory, and now we see why he hated that memory. It severed his ties with the girl he loved.
Reply:Yep, I noticed. You should warn in your question line about spoilers tho.
Reply:OMG!
Reply:I did notice the locket in the 5th book. But I'm sorry to say that i still haven't manage to read the 7th book so I cannot answer the 2nd question..
However, its lucky you haven't said more about the 7th book or it will certainly spoil my mood to read it later...
Reply:yup yup
Snape.... it was everything so sad,,,he loved lily...he died
so deppressing
Reply:Imagine in Snape never called Lilly a Mudblood?
He never would have heard the prophecy.... there'd be no reason for him to be standing against the door listening. He'd probably be...off..cuddling with Lilly before his interview or something.
Voldemort would be controlling the world...with no end in sight.
Harry wouldn't be here....
And we'd have no books.
Reply:Nice catches.
Already knew about the locket, since they do mention in book 7 that it was mentioned before.
But I just realized that about Snape, thanks.
