How do I get rid of lilies of the vally?

My garden is a mess with these, that grows up every year.

I want to plant soemthing else but they won't go away. Uprooting them does not help.

How do I get rid of lilies of the vally?
Try Round-up or Ranger. Their active ingredient is sodium (sodium and the adjuvent clog the pores responsible for gas exchange, essentially suffocating the plant - roots and all).
Reply:Send them to me. Round up should work well. Boiling water is another.
Reply:send them to me, they are beautiful and smell lovely, keep them and chop them down after flowering if you get sick of them
Reply:Because you are not getting all the roots. You very well may need to take everything out of your garden, and deep till the soil, turning it very thoroughly. Black plastic securely put over all the turned soil for at least three weeks. After, any show their determined heads, decimate them with a herbicide.

These lillies put out lateral roots and very difficult to clear.
Reply:you have to make sure that you get the roots and all out of the ground.
Reply:Dang, I can't get lilies of the valley to grow in my yard.

I heard they multiply fast, so when you uproot them, it really gets rid of one but 2 more grow.
Reply:You should pour boiling water on them, it will kill them.
