(Harry Potter)....."that awful boy"................?

" I heard that - awful boy - telling her about them - years ago"

When petunia said this I thought like Harry, she was referring to his dad and mom. But right just now, it struck me.

In Deathly Hallows, in the chapter 'Prince's Tale', there is a scene where a young lily is told about dementors by snape..when petunia suddenly interrupts them.

(Harry Potter)....."that awful boy"................?
Your right It is Snape I finished the Deathly Hallows again and now I'm reading the 5th book again and I just passed that part yesterday and I thought the same thing "that awful boy" is Definitely Snape. Petunia didn't like Snape so she would totally call him "awful"
Reply:Lil' Severus Snape
Reply:yep i thought the same thing snape is in the back ground all the time
Reply:Snape. Interesting to see that Petunia really did care for Lily and had a boatload of guilt there.
Reply:How is that a question. You're just telling us your opinion on something.
Reply:Serius Black....he probably wasn't her cup o' tea.
Reply:Interesting...
Reply:I think you're right--it's more likely to have been Snape. To what extent did Petunia even know James?
Reply:I HAVE NO CLUE

I DONT READ THOSE BOOKS
Reply:Wow, I had never even considered that. It makes sense. That is crazy.
Reply:she was referring to snape...i thought of that too...yea jkr confirmed it..it was snape...it couldnt have been james

kisses

Reply:It's definitely Severus Snape. When Harry said 'my father', Petunie didn't say anything, meaning it could be him or Snape. But I think it's more likely to be the latter as explained in the seventh book.
Reply:is that a question
